Welcome to Rock On Magazine!
Rock on was founded in July of 2008 by Sammie Mackenzie and was passed down to Tyler Wesley in March of 2011. Since the beginning of Rock On, it has steadily changed and improved to become what it is today. We took a 3 month hiatus that we hoped would bring us to where we needed to be to be able to keep the magazine running and it did not. After one issue was put out I ,Tyler, was having a hard time keeping Rock On going by myself... So we took yet another hiatus. BUT this time around I am taking full responsibility for Rock On, and I hope to keep it going and be better than ever.
We feature, review and interview any genre of artist or band but the most common and preferred are hardcore, indie, punk rock, rock acoustic. We will go to any show that we have the means of getting to if there is an event for us to cover. We have traveled hours to see a concert, meet an artist or get an interview. We were asked to cover the kick off concert of the Scream It Like You Mean It tour last year, but due to the fact that at the time last year the magazine was not as steady as it is now we were unable to cover the event.
Rock On is still undergoing changes and we are currently very under staffed but hopefully soon the changes will be finished and we will begin putting out issues bimonthly.
